the four phases of Officer Training School
Phase I: Indoctrination. During the first phase, you acquire the shared common experience of military training. You also begin to learn the basics of leadership and military management.
Phase II: Development. During the second phase, you develop your understanding of leadership and the Air Force culture. You also acquire basic skills necessary to become a successful Air Force Officer.
Phase III: Application. During this phase, you are given the opportunity to demonstrate hands-on leadership, and your newly learned skills will be put to the test.
Phase IV: Transition. During the final phase of BOT, you are prepared to transition from the training environment into the operational Air Force. The phase and the program culminate with your graduation.
