Marine Corps Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Jr., chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, meets military members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) at Tirana International Hotel before the start of the Military Committee in Chiefs of Defense Session (MC/CS) in Tirana, Albania Sept. 15, 2017. The Chiefs of Defense will meet to discuss Afghanistan, countering terrorism and other NATO operations and missions to provide the North Atlantic Council with consensus-based military advice on how to best meet global security challenges.
TIRANA, Albania--The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Jr. arrived in Tirana, Albania Sept. 14 for a NATO Military Committee Chiefs of Defense Session (MC/CS). The meeting is hosted by the Albanian Chief of the General Staff Brig. Gen. Bardhyl Kollcaku and will run Sept. 15-17. While in Albania, Dunford will meet with senior Albanian civilian and military leaders as well as attend NATO MC/CS meetings.
