WASHINGTON--Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Patrick S. Ryder provided the following readout:
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Jr., met with Commander of the Estonian Defense Forces General Riho Terras today at the Pentagon.
The two leaders discussed the current security environment in the Baltic region, cooperative planning to deal with regional threats, and command and control relationships for units operating in the Baltics. The discussion included both bilateral and NATO-related activities and considered the training exercises planned for this summer.
The United States remains committed to supporting Baltic freedom and the security of the region.
