Deployed Airmen from Incirlik receive call from POTUS

INCIRLIK AIR BASE, Turkey -- Sitting at a desk in Turkey, 74th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron Airmen await a call from the most powerful man in the free world.

Airmen from the 74th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, were chosen to receive a phone call from President Donald Trump on Thanksgiving.

President Trump said that he knows being gone is tough and that everyone out here is doing a good job.

It is the dedication and enthusiasm with which they accomplish their daily missions that led to their selection to receive the call.

President Trump has taken the time to continue the tradition of calling military members who are deployed for the holidays.

This marks the first time a President has conducted a holiday video teleconference call with deployed personnel at the holidays in lieu of the traditional telephone call.
